This interactive workshop on July 17th helps doctoral candidates present their PhD topics clearly, confidently, and in a way that resonates – whether speaking to experts or a general audience. Participants will practice short pitches, receive feedback from communication professionals, and strengthen their science communication skills. The workshop will be held in English, with lunch and refreshments provided. The registration deadline is July 10th, and places are limited – so register now!

Have a start-up idea and want to turn it into reality? The Start-up Track Program gives you the tools, guidance, and network to take your idea to the next level. Over twelve weeks, you’ll work with experienced founders, scientists, and coaches, follow a proven innovation process, and receive a prototyping budget to develop your concept while becoming part of a strong start-up ecosystem. To apply, you must be a student, graduate, or team member from one of the seven universities of the Entrepreneurial Innovation Hub. Applications are open until 20 July.

On November 29th, the Siemens RIE Conference 2024 Erlangen-Nuremberg „Circularity Enabled by Sustainability,“ took place at ZOLLHOF in Nuremberg. The event brought together industry leaders, academics, and innovators to explore the role of circularity in driving sustainable development, starting with sustainability overviews from a university and industry perspective.

Together we discovered how Siemens Digital Industries Software is transforming education in mechanical engineering at FAU.
We dived into the Siemens DI SW ecosystem and learned how the Chair of Engineering Design integrates Siemens Software into their curriculum, featuring a live demo.
